This week, I finally had a chance to look at the program the Buffalo Niagara chapter is pulling together for the 2008 PRSA Northeast District Conference. To say the least, I am extremely impressed. The quality of the speakers and topics rivals the International Conference (and I am not just saying that because I am speaking).
It’s in September (Sept. 11) when the weather is beautiful in Buffalo. (I guess having it the week of 12/28 just so I could see my beloved Patriots beat the Bills after the conference would have been impractical due to the weather and holidays…)
If you haven’t checked out the one-day program yet, you should do so. It contains topics of interest for senior practitioners to new professionals and students. The keynotes are from David Jones – VP of Digital Media H&K Canada and Michael Cherenson, National Chair Elect of the PRSA.
Social media is well represented, and I will be hosting a session “Down and Dirty: Practical Lessons on Blogging and Social Media Ethics.”
